Kenya Mahiga AB is carefully roasted by the Oman roastery, Bastah Majan , from the farms in the Kenya lands. It offers you unique coffee beans that are highly regarded. Kenya  is also known as one of the finest coffee-producing and exporting countries in the world.

The Kenyan coffee industry is dominated by a co-operative system of production. Many small holder farmers  collect their harvest and bring them to a central  mill close to their farm to have their coffee processed. The Mahiga Factory has 400 members that bring  their cherry to be processed there. Kenyan coffees are sorted at the mill according to their size by using different sized screens, with the general assumption that the bigger beans are higher in quality. This lot is referred to as an “AB”, which means that it has beans from both A and B screen sizes. The A grade is sorted using a 6.8 mm screen while the B grade is sorted using a 6.2 mm screen. These two types of beans, A and B, are mixed together to form the grade Kenya AB

Kenya Mahiga AB known for various flavor profiles such dried lemon , cacao, black tea,  pomegranate which bring out different flavors in the coffee. Additionally, it is recommended for all methods of preparing filter .

The washed processing method called depulpers remove the seeds from the cherries before drying them. However, it is not just any cherry that gets seed removal. These cherries must have the perfect amount of ripeness to make sure they are sweet enough, and go through a sorter for density. Once these depulpers remove the skin and pulp from the seeds, the seeds go into tanks full of water. The water ultimately washes the rest of the mucilage and fruit caked onto the seed. Finally, the seeds go onto beds in the sun to dry out.
